Heading to Milan from Venice, I simply had to make a stop in Verona. Home to the Arena which pre-dates the Colosseum in Rome, and Casa di Guilietta, that famous balcony.
Without much other planning, my delightful AirBNB host Guilia gave me some wonderful suggestions, and so on a beautiful blue-sky day, I followed my feet to history, stunning views, and the best Apple Pie i think I have ever had. (thanks to Nonna from Terrazza Bar Al Ponte)
