Road Trip Tasmania – Random Roadside Stops

It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. Clique but true. My overnights are more often the rest at the end of a day, than a destination of its own.

Australia is a vast country, with often great distances between towns, so once I plan a trip, I scour the route for oddities and places I can make a stop to revive & survive driving & travelling solo.

This is a quick little post featuring some of the more memorable, including the legendary Black Stump

Then at times, the road itself stands out, like the Lighthouse Road stretch along the Great Ocean Road that leads into Cape Otway. An almost Jurassic tree line (photo below). Simply breathtaking.

My final blog of this Tasmanian Road Trip, is a dedication to the regional towns that have supported artists to transform Water Towers, Water Tanks and Grain Silos into magnificent artworks.

So here are the random road stops from Queensland to Tasmania & back.

WILT – What I am listening to ?

Don’t try to read too much into these WILT’s, it’s often just that earworm from my music library
