I’m Booked ! Yay !! Come November ….
After seeing my dear friend Toni Childs in concert with Natalie Imbruglia & The sensational Corrs returning after enjoying their One Night Only in the Hunter Valley,
I board a plane for 4 months in Europe, starting in the Faroe Islands after some transit stops.
With the impending european ETIAS restrictions, and intentions of a revisit from August 2024, I have mapped out some cultural indulgences.
Essentially, after the Faroe Islands, I will fly to Budapest, then settle into some epic train journeys
- through Austria,
- Spas & Castle stay in regional Czechia,
- Christmas Markets & Spas through Germany
- heading to Salzburg for Christmas,
- Hallstatt as a stop to Venice for New Year,
- Northern Italy & Bellagio Lake Como before
- Skiing Zermatt Verbier Chamonix & Val d’Slere
Then yet to be booked, a flight to the Artic Circle for northern lights chasing in February, and that forever-moving opening date to visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum & back to Luxor to spend much more time in The Valley of the Kings.
Venice will be my only re-visit so far, but couldn’t resist an AirBNB only 50m off St Marks Square to see-in the New Year.
Mostly longer stays than before, with some transit breaks, but still a sampler getting a feel for places to return to for long stays.
As usual, I welcome your DM’s to share any tips to special experiences (like a Secret tour along Al Passetto to the Vatican), and those unexpected fabulous surprises discovered when you ventured past the tourist traps.
