Travel The Bucket List

Europe 2016

I’ve booked flights, and I am now researching my first extended pursuit of my Bucket List.

6 months around Europe.

Seems liked a long time, until you realise how much there is to see. So, no chance of ticking Europe off completely, but can certainly enjoy a lot of things over 6 months.

Iceland is the first destination arriving early September. I’m renting a car and will drive the Golden Circle and the Ring Road, experiencing the thermal baths, Silfra snorkeling, Glacier Lagoon, Whale Watching and generally enjoying many appealing waterfalls and walks.

With Autumn weather to enjoy, I will keep up the driving by visiting Ireland, Scotland and Great Britain. Should while away an easy couple of months there.

To heighten a Northern Lights opportunity, I’ll likely then head up to the little village of Reine in Norway, before trying some of Norways famous Tourist Routes by renting a car out of Bergen, and spending a couple of weeks driving to Alesund and the famous Atlantic Rd; before returning the car and heading to Netherlands or Belgium.

With winter approaching, the last of my desire for countryside driving will likely involve the Colmar & Black Forest region, leading me to the Romantic Rd & Stuttgart.

Prague for Christmas, Paris for New Year, and then skiing St Anton in January are organised. Not the sort of thing or time of year to leave to last minute.

South to Rome via Venice for a little while, before heading to Cairo for a tour around the major sites of Egypt, then home.

So keep a watch on the travels, and I welcome any “must-see” advice.
