The National Routes of Norway are well publisized, and certainly appealing from photo’s, so before mountain range roads get closed for winter, I made Norway my next destination.
10 days driving the south from Bergan to the Atlantic Rd and Alesund via Geiranger, then return to Bergen. From there, an overnight in Oslo on the way to the Artic Circle of Norway, the Lofoten Islands in search of a Northern Lights experience.
Hiring a car out of Bergan airport, I found driving in Norway another unique experience. Photo’s you see on the net hardly give justice to the beauty of Norway.
From here you can read about :-
Beautiful Waterfalls like Fossevandring, Latefosesen, Steindalfossen, and more
Stunning vistas like Trollstigen, Dalsnibba, Stegastein, Aksla and more
Surprises like Bryggen and more
But in general, driving the fjords is simply breathtaking. Still waters reflecting pretty little towns sitting at the foot of huge green mountains with towering waterfalls. It’s not selective photography, it’s mile after mile of beauty, with loads of places to safely pull over, get out of the car, and soak it up
People were telling me Norway was expensive, and it is compared to my home, but not compared to Iceland, so perhaps i was conditioned ? But does the cost really matter when you are fulfilling and exceeding expectations ?

WILT – What I am listening to ?
Don’t try to read too much into these WILT’s, it’s often just that earworm from my music library
