Luxor was the final stop of our 3 night Nile Cruise, and our flight departure point back to Cairo for tours end.
Home to Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Luxor Temple and Luxor Museum along with many other attractions.
Our tour guide organised a 2 hour horse & carriage tour of the city, and we found ourselves trotted through the back streets, past peoples homes. A different prospective, often greeted by genuinely smiling children.
We also, somehow, got to visit some markets; whilst still on the carriages, causing bedlam as people and product bounced out of our way. (photos below)
Markets aside, Luxor is an interesting city, and worth a few days as part of any exploration of Egypt.
