Travel The Bucket List

6 days in Rome

Finishing my brief visit to Italy, 6 days in Rome proved to be a relaxed pace to walk, wander, explore and eat.

I chose an AirBnB near Piazza Navona as a location, and enjoyed a spacious and very comfortable apartment, surrounded by restaurants, and minutes walking to the Pantheon.

Tourist mode set back in with so many famous attractions to explore, so the next few days saw me visit Vatican City, the Vatican Museums and St Peters Basilica; and then uniquely, a visit to Castel Sant’Angelo with the bonus Secret Tour which walked Al Passetto di Borgo to the Vatican.

Wandering down to the Colosseum included a visit to the Piazza Venezia and the Roman Forum.

A side street near the Piazza had signs for Segway Tours, which I booked for my last day, a fabulous way to climb to some unique high points around Rome for special views.

The Segway Tour was a clear highlight and is easily recommended to experience while in Rome.

Grazie Lucilla !

WILT – What I am listening to ?

Don’t try to read too much into these WILT’s, it’s often just that earworm from my music library
