Time to wind down, and do little but seek the Northern Lights from Tromso. An excellent AirBnB provided a stunning view over the Havn (harbour) towards the mountains & beyond. An easy vantage to relax and potentially get another Northern Lights experience.
Seems like hundreds of offers, to be taken out into the frozen night to chase the lights at great expense, and yet, if you hadn’t booked weeks in advance, there was nothing available once arriving. Glad I had a perfect accom.
I did get a day out snowmobiling, tied to a visit to the Ice Domes (pictures below). The experience suffered from operators that have little idea how to provide a service however. But, it was far less costly to discover the Ice Domes were not for me as an overnight consideration. Happy to have this glimpse and appreciate the craftsmanship of the Ice Sculptors, without the overnight experience.
Final day, no Northern lights due to clouds and regular snowing, but that’s nature for you !
