Sun Peaks Resort has become a favourite. This marks the third visit to this developing ski resort, and each time seems to get better. We stayed at the Fireside Lodge at the top of the village, a true ski-in ski-out location with an easy walk to all the restaurants & amenities.
Mushing a Dog Sled
My Bucket List goal this time was to mush a dog sled, and Sun Peaks Adventures offered this unique and delightful experience.
The tour involved visiting with the dogs to start, before helping to harness them up, some safety instruction, then off we went through some pristine back country.
The dogs were enthusiastic, eagerly mushing and seemingly very much enjoying the exercise.
Sun Peaks offers a good range of skiing, excellent overnight grooming, and a generally dry powder snow which makes even mug skiers look pro.
If you are a skier and never visited Sun Peaks, it should get included to your Bucket List.
