Two strong memories were the first time I saw the Vasa in its museum, and a unique Viking Restaurant dining experience, Aifur (picture right)
In addition to excellent food and historical stories behind each dish, Aifur creates Theatre, from dressing random patrons in Viking costume for photo ops, to the raucous announcement of guests to the entire gathering. Make sure to book online well in advance.
Then the Vasa. Likely the best preserved approx 400 year old ship to be seen anywhere. A tragic story you can click and read, creating a time capsule.
Beyond these, the architecture and old town Gamla Stan call explorers.
