After an eventful regional train journey, I arrived at Sigmaringen, home to Germany’s second biggest city palace.
The best view of the Palace is from the other side of the Danube, standing imposing upon an original Castle foundation. The audioguided Sigmaringen Palace tour walks you through 21 rooms, giving a glimpse into the Hohenzollern’s living & entertaining areas.
Stately would be the best description. Some Palaces can overwhelm with gilded features. Sigmaringen on the other hand has a gentler grandeur. It certainly warranted the destinational trip to visit.
