Traveling through South Korea, on the way to Ski Niseko in Japan, I took a day to stopover in Seoul. The cab on the way to the hotel went past a huge billboard promoting Mamma Mia, live at the D Cube Art Center, with the original London Cast.
Ceasing opportunity, it worked out the theatre was only 4 blocks from the hotel, and concierge helped me secure a seat for the performance that night, starting about an hour later.
What a great experience. The Korean audience followed the play on 2 huge translation screens either side of stage. Accordingly, the laughs followed about 2 seconds after the on-stage punchline ! The cast were amazing, as expected.
A Bucket List, by definition, is a list of intentions to fulfil. But it is the surprises along the way that make it all the more fulfilling.
Where have you seen Mamma Mia ?
