Growing up in the 60’s, I still recall being let out of school to be home for the first moon landing on TV. What an amazing way to inspire the sense of adventure in a child.
So before my Bucket List was even contemplated, a visit to NASA became a subliminal destination. Watching a launch would have been the best experience, but sharing this visit with my kids seemed just as good.
NASA have done a good job of displaying all manner of space exploration at the Kennedy Space Centre, and I highly recommend taking one of their regular Bus Tours around the vast complex.
Being from Australia, my kids were equally impressed at seeing numerous Gators lying around roadside in the gullys. We didn’t expect they would be that close to an actively populated area.
Orlando has many reasons to visit, add Kennedy Space Centre to your list.
