Germany has a lot of heritage to offer, and some well deserved famous sites and cities to visit. Some because of Christmas Markets, others as the home to Museums of some of the worlds finest cars, Mercedes Benz, Porsche & BMW.
With my intention to enjoy Christmas day in Prague, I continued a train journey from Strasbourg to
Stuttgart and the Porsche & Mercedes Benz Museums to
Rothenberg ob der Tauber through Augsburg to
Fussen for a visit to the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein
then up to Munich and the BMW Museum,
Nuremberg for it’s renowned Christmas Markets before
Berlin, with my last train journey to Prague.
Germany also provided one of my most desired Bucket List pursuits, Driving a Sports Car on the Autobahn which you can read about here.
I complete this post having just been in Berlin when the truck was driven into the Christmas Markets at Breitscheidplatz. I had visited Christmas Markets earlier that evening, but at Gendarmenmarkt in the city centre, not the site of this incident.
I refuse to let these senseless actions change or influence my travel plans.
My thoughts and prayers are with those directly effected, and the dedicated support personnel who have to attend these tragedies.
