As a motorcyclist, some of my planned driving routes came from researching “best motorcycle rides”.
Those are usually twisty roads with often very good vistas; certainly a good start to maping out an enjoyable drive.
The only unfortunately reality, is everyone knows these roads, and as I turned off the main road into the Betws Y Coed triangle; I was greated by a quite low speed limit sign, along with a “black spot” warning for motorcyclists. And a bit of rain.
So venturing in, I quickly discovered why it has its reputation, lovely sweeping curves, green field and panoramic vista’s mixed with forestry runs.
It’s not a long run, so unless you are in the area, I would not suggest making a huge effort to visit; but if you are passing, enjoy the drive/ride.
