My last of four “Sleep in a Castle” experiences, Amberley Castle certainly looked the part upon approach.
Checked in and was taken to my room, a 5 star appointed, modern fitted room, in an old building.
Very very nice, big bed, comfortable, fabulous bathroom, but not exactly what I expected, compared to the previous more authentic Castle rooms.
The grounds had of bit of interest to wander, and there were very nice, authentic sitting rooms with waiter service; so really, it’s all about expectations. The sleep quality and drinks in the siting rooms was 1st class.
So what do you think ? Would you rather research everything to the n’th degree so you know exactly what you are getting; OR, would you prefer to be surprised by the reality ?
