Driving east from Bergan, the first major waterfall stop was Steinsdalfossen.
It’s special appeal, was the ability to walk behind this falls. A well structured pathway leads you up one side, behind the falls, and then to a viewing platform on the other side.
Subject to winds on the day, you can easily get wet, but with the right conditions, standing behind the falls, looking out to the lush green landscape was captivating.
There is a small gift shop and cafe, along with rest rooms off the carpark. Steindalfossen needs to be on your must visit list
After driving on through Odda to Latefossen, heading north for my stay in Voss, i came upon Skjervfossen. if you take the first acess road, it will be on your right as you climb the twisty road. nor much carparking, but enough to pull over and walk to the base. Also evident you could follow a trail to the top; but I chose to drive up on this day.
At the top is a much better structured carpark and viewing platform; but I think the better view was from below.
