Travel The Bucket List

Ireland Dublin Kilmainham Gaol

I had no idea about this attraction until arriving in Dublin, but it was recommended, so I booked a ticket online and made my way there after Dublin Castle & St Michins Church.

Having pre-paid, I skipped the queue, and was a little early for the precise tour time I had booked.

The lovely staff there asked me what else I had seen, and with that, suggested I should buy the OPW Heritage Card, which would include entry for this tour. They then refunded my online paid ticket, issued the OPW Card, and registered me again for the tour I had booked. Hats off to the very thoughtful staff at Kilmainham Gaol.

The Gaol was obviously very popular with tourists, with slickly organised tours starting every 15minutes. The tour itself was informative and interesting, covering a bit of ground, many hallways, pens and yards.

WILT – What I am listening to ?

Don’t try to read too much into these WILT’s, it’s often just that earworm from my music library
