Driving east along the ring road, you will notice this waterfall well before reaching it.
GPS had me turn left, but I think it was well enough signed. Turn into the car park, and again, large as life, it’s right there in front of you. You feel as though you could reach out to it from the car.
A little hut was to the right along with bathrooms. Follow the path to a central viewing & photo position, before considering to take a path to the left or right to get behind the falls.
Beware, with a little wind, the spray from the falls will get you wet pretty fast, so a poncho or raincoat is advised. Not sure if an umbrella would be enough.
Paths were wet from the spray, but seemed to have enough grip without the need for hiking boots. I chose to venture to the path on the right, and it seemed to be the easier access to behind. If you have made it here, and are capable, I really recommend making the effort to get behind the falls, the outlook is something special.
