First stop cruising north from Aswan is Kom Ombo, adjacent to a mummified Crocodile Museum. What the heck, while you are there…… Photos allowed via an extra ticket.
We arrove at sunset, along with at least a dozen other boats, and barreled through a gauntlet of aggressive marketers to attempt to see this temple in fading light.
The temple features a Calendar which is quite interesting, and if you have the time and are patient, you may get a moment to see it past the procession of tour guides waffling their stories directly at that site.
Night falls and the lights come on, changing the feel of the temple. Would have been much more interesting with less people and more time.
