The Egyptian Museum will be replaced (not) soon enough by a modern new construction, more fitting to these treasures than the existing building & displays.
Home to King Tut Ankh Amun’s golden mask, his canopic jars and multiple gold sarcophagus houses; and also the mummy of Kings Rameses II. A trip to Cairo is not complete with a visit here, and photo’s are permitted (at an extra cost) except for the Mummies hall and King Tuts Treasure room.
