Morning 3 of the Nile Cruise had us parked at Edfu, and our guide arranged us to visit this temple very early. A bit further inland, the standard arrival seemed to be by horse & carriage, where you are quickly swift away through the city streets to the Edfu Temple.
A main feature is the Solar Boat in a chamber to the back, which brings about the worst of tourists.
As seen here, the Pappazzi would have been proud of this motley crush of photographers. I would guess that arriving later in the morning would have thinned out the herd, but not the case for my visit.
Impressive in size and detail, it’s an obligatory if you are on one of the cruises, to stop at this site; so other than being whisked through the bumpy streets, it’s hard to comment about the city of Edfu.
