Whilst not exactly IN Paris, this is a popular and stunningly beautiful palace, accessible from trains, or via tour group buses from Paris.
And I mean popular. Even with online pre-ordered tickets, lines can create an hour or more of waiting (photo below showing a queue snaking 3 times over in the forecourt).
The Chateau Passport ticket includes access to the Trianon’s nearby (other interesting buildings), along with the grounds to Marie Antoinettes estate. It’s a fair walk from Chateau to Trianons, or you can hire a golf buggy or a mini-train seat. If you have the time, make a day of it, if not, you won’t be shattered if you miss seeing the Trianons.
Photography permitted throughout, never thought that would so much of an issue elsewhere, especially in this age of social media.
