Loads of European cities have reputations for their Christmas Markets, including Nuremberg.
At this point, I am still hard pressed finding any city to compare to my Christmas Markets experience in Strasbourg; but I suppose it’s what you are looking for, not just the size.
Nuremberg was a busy main market, with other popular streets and thoroughfares lined as well, but the notable difference was the density of product. Nuremberg stalls often displayed twice as much variety of product compared to markets (I have) seen elsewhere. Reminiscent of the densely packed shops of Hong Kong.
The usual round of beautiful churchs, cobblestone streets, and friendly people made this an enjoyable stay.
